While iTunes is an awesome program, anybody who uses it often knows that there are a few things severly lacking. Thank goodness for software add ons! Want easier access to iTune's controls? Try Synergy. Not happy with iTune's ability to fetch art (who is?) Try Fetch Art. I personally have used the latter and find it much more efficient than iTune's horrible album ability. We've all seen the lists of "top" apps that everybody recommends, but more often than not, they're ones we already know of. What about the great apps we've never seen? Todd Lambert has put together a little list of what he believes are useful apps all too often overlooked in the Mac world. His list includes whatsize and serverskine. I admit, I've never heard of any of his four listed apps, but with a little toying we found that they have great potential. Some of them are just plain spiffy!

Yet again, some clever fellow has released what he believes to be the top 10 free downloads for OS X. This time the list comes from Lifehacker and includes recognizable names like Quicksilver and Adium. There are also quite a few lesser known programs like Unarchiver. If you haven't checked out some of these programs yet, you're missing out!

Needless to say, virtually everybody who is anybody has an iPod of one generation or another. You can find iPod accessories anywhere from 7-11 to Wal-Mart. With this plethora of accessories, there is also a wide variety of programs to help you jam to your favorite tunes your own way. Helpero.com has put together a nifty list of 7 "must have" iPod apps, such as iDump or iPodCopy. MacMod would also add to the list iPodifier and CopyPod. Does anybody have anything to add?
