You heard me right, you know you have an extra mac sitting around, and you have been itching to get your hands on Apple's new "Apple TV".� Well, here is your chance to setup an Apple TV with whatever is lying around.� This is really great news and opens up to alot of possibilities with the stripped down copy of Mac OS X.� Imagine suring the web as well with your Apple TV, or even playing games.� Not sure how this works with 802.11g or if you will need to grab some "n" goodness.� Anyone willing to shed a little light?

Ok, lets face it, the HD on your Apple TV is far less than desirable. We have already discovered that its a standard sized 2.5" laptop hard drive, so naturally, the only thing left to do is upgrade it. We don't have an Apple TV to take apart and show you guys how to go about doing this step by step. However, our good ole friends over at Engadget do, and they have. So, take a look at the guide!

 All laptops/notebooks, whether PC or Mac, will get very hot after usage, sometimes to the point that placing some laptops (sans MacBook Pro 1.0) directly on your skin can actually cause real damage. Aside from the obvious physical dangers of laptop heat, there are performance issues as well. Heated circuits do not perform as well as cooled. What's a laptop owner to do? Why, get a laptop cooler of course! These crafty devices can get expensive and elaborate, but just how effective are they? CNet's Dan Ackerman has the answer.

 While iTunes is an awesome program, anybody who uses it often knows that there are a few things severly lacking. Thank goodness for software add ons! Want easier access to iTune's controls? Try Synergy. Not happy with iTune's ability to fetch art (who is?) Try Fetch Art. I personally have used the latter and find it much more efficient than iTune's horrible album ability. There's plenty more for you to check out at helpero.

Needless to say, AppleTV has many potentials. Want to see what you may be able to do with it before you go and spend your cash? Somebody who has more money to waste than you has ripped it to pieces, saving you the trouble.
