I bought a used Quicksilver 2002 800Mhz last year. I like the G4's because they are very fast, and there are many upgrades available. I was satisfied with it. But about a year later I began to mod my machine.
First I bought some new stuff like a new CPU, etc...
Specs:
Dual 1.2Ghz Giga-Designs 2MB L3 Cache per CPU
120GB HD (80GB+40GB)
512MB RAM (I still need more.)
Now the case mod...
First I bought 1 CCFL blue and 1 CCFL green and installed them on the bottom of the Powermac.
Then I decided to cut a blowhole on top of the Computer and stuck in a
Revoltec 80mm Cooler Blue and of course a stylish fan grill.
Now the computer looked great...but there was still something missing.
I then added LED’s
in the handles (3mm LED 9800mcd) and one LED behind the Apple logo.
Now my mod is finally finished, and I am extremely satisfied about the results. A unique case.
Now to my second mod...
I bought a used Power Mac G3 for $50.
In the beginning I wanted to paint it another color, like a sky-blue or something.
Finally I chose red, a very bright and cool red.
First I primered all plastic-parts with one coat.
Then the second day I painted all parts in red. I didn't use any further sprays.
Now I have two very unique Power Macs. I hope you enjoyed my two Mac Mods from Switzerland.
