SoftRAID, LLC today released a new version of its software-based RAID solution for Mac OS X Systems.
SoftRAID 3.6.2 improves support for Leopard, the next major release of Mac OS X. SoftRAID users will easily be able to migrate to Leopard when it is released. This release of SoftRAID also will take advantage of many of the new features available in Leopard.
SoftRAID 3.6.2 is fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.10, and is a recommended upgrade for all SoftRAID 3.x users on Tiger.
SoftRAID version 3.6.2 allows for seamless booting of SoftRAID volumes on Intel Macs. With SoftRAID 3.6.2, it is once again simple to convert your startup disk to SoftRAID. With this release, Intel Macs are now as reliable as their PowerPC predecessors.
The SoftRAID 3.6 release is a free electronic update to all 3.x owners. The SoftRAID 3.6 electronic download is $129 and the retail CD is $149, both available from the SoftRAID website www.softraid.com and retail outlets worldwide.
