AOL has a cool service, Xdrive. They basically hold 5GB of info on a remote server for you. In the past you had to use a Windows App or a Safari Web browser to get to it, but now they make it easier. XDrive Desktop Lite was released today to give you an application that allows you to upload via a native OS X application. If you want a little bit of off-site storage, check this out.
The site (xdrive.com) is run by AOL and all you need is an AOL screen name, no membership is required. It is powered by Adobe AIR (also launched today). This is fresh meat here, I wouldn't store anything sensitive on it yet. Two new products being released at the same time scream security leaks to me. But, if you want to have some pictures backed up or a copy of your memoirs stored off-site. This freebie is worht looking into. Best part, it's free. Worst part, it's AOL.
