No more in-store Apple Deals |

recently reported that the in-store "open-box" deals have been
discontinued. Apparently the local Apple stores used to hold open box
items in the back and occasionally bring them out for a "fire"
sale. But if you asked, you could take a look at their current
selection before they rolled it out.
Josh Bryant posted that he
too tried it and was told that the open-box and fire sales have
discontinued. I had never heard of this. Has anybody else ever seen a
fire sale or tried to get an open box deal? Are there any other Apple
buying secrets out there that anyone can share?
