Here's a real life saver for me. I HATE how my iPod's ear buds kept on falling out of my error when I did something a little to active for the iPod. It annoyed the living daylights out of me. Luckily there is a simple DIY at c-h-a-o-s.com that shows a simple way of improving the headphones.
By taking a simple earplug (like you would wear at a concert or construction site) and punching a 4mm whole in the center, you can have yourself a very inexpensive noise cancelling set if headphones. It takes a little tweaking to get the lenght right, but this defenitely will save my sanity while using my iPod.
Thanks to Dan for referring me to the c-h-a-o-s article.
