Psystar not afraid of Apple

company-macclone-psystar.pngWell, I was wrong about Psystar.  I thought they were doing Hackintosh clones for a publicity stunt.  Grab some headlines and then take the site down.  Turns out that they have a little bit more guts than that.  Their site is back up and is offering two Mac clones, the Open Computer ($399) and OpenPro Computer ($999).

If you missed the chance yesterday to take a look at the pages, here's your chance now.  Get there before Apple sends them more C&D orders.

I just ordered an openpro. Looks like a fine pc, and if it was assembled and shipped competently it will probably be great. i am kind of worried that the OS will break when it comes time to do an autoupdate or an upgrade, but at that point I could hopefully get some tips on how to re-hack the future OS version onto the box. i bought it for the novelty value...

These guys are most likely being devoured by rabid, demon lawyers as we speak.
