 More and more people are publishing their mod'd desks. This is a mod that you don't need to worry about voiding warranties (though who really worries about that), or nuking your system. These mods are about controlling what seems to be an ever growing number of wires needed for most computing endeavors.
USB, firewire, modems, routers, printers, speakers (and stereos to drive them) all add up to alot of wires and alot of heat. Moding your desk to account for not only the wires but also the heat can be tricky. Your modem or router will not like being boxed up with no fresh air, and the wires are not what you want people to see when showing them your workspace.
