Maybe it was to keep us all on our toes, but the new iMac didn't come out on a Tuesday (per norm), but rather today. The new iMacs top out at 3.06 GHz and are sporting the 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS. Apple's stats say it runs about 20% faster than the previous generation iMacs.
So the new iMacs are out of the question for WWDC. That clears up about 10 minutes of Steve's speech, maybe enough time to introduce the 3G iPhone in more detail, the new Mac Mini or another mystery product.
