Another Mac Clone hits eBay

news-clone-ebay.gif"Begun the Clone Wars has", as Yoda would say.  Looks like Psystar is legit (as in it isn't vaporware) and now somebody else is getting in while the getting is good (before Apple finds its legal ground).  Ebay user Chris555 is selling 2 unbranded Mac Clone for $549 each out of Potage, Indiana.

Each clone is packed with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chips with 2 gigs of RAM.  Apple hasn't said anything about these Clones, and some of the EULA legality has been called into question lately (Free BSD is supposed to be free).  But how far can this go?  There are now clones that are sold commercially and personally off eBay.  Both come with OS X installed.  The ball is in Apple's court now.  If they don't step up soon then we'll see more and more clones hitting the streets.

eBay already removed the auction the night that word began spreading about this on the Web. eBay has not provided any public explanation for the takedown, but some have speculated that it was due to Apple's EULA clause about "Apple-labeled hardware". I guess he should have slapped an Apple sticker on it before trying to sell it. ;o)
