prod-owc-80211nusb.jpgFor all of us who are stuck on 802.11 g (or even worse, b), there is an easy upgrade solution.  Newer Technologies' Max Power allows you to turn an USB 2 port into an 802.11n connection.  Their website claims USB 1.1 compatibility, but who would want to go that slow?)

Relatively inexpensive, ($53) and available from OWC (macsales.com) this wireless upgrade is fully OS X compatible.  If you don't want the USB stick jutting out of your Mac, you can also use the base that comes with it.  This is really handy if you want to position it for best reception or just want to keep it in a spot that won't get banged up (I've lost a few USB sticks by smashing them off the front of a G5).

System Requirements : Any Mac with available USB port & OS X (10.3.9 or greater).

Take a look at OWC for more info.
