One of the biggest complaints I hear from Windows users about Mac software is the lack of Outlook. Sure, all the parts of Outlook are available; iCal, Mail, Address Book, etc. But the problem lies within the whole, the sum, a single complete package. Well, I have got the answer today for all of you complainers and Crm4Mac is the answer. Continue reading for the full review.
I never used Outlook during my Windows days, but using Crm4Mac I realized why so many people do. When trying to organize your days, it is so much easier to have all of the information on one screen. For instance, I see I have a meeting tomorrow with a friend. To the right, their email and phone numbers sit right in front of me. I don't need to fire up another program, or risk distraction (and thus forgetfullness) by launching another app.
This provides a second, though less obvious advantage to Crm4Mac: a clean dock. Using iCal, and Address Book, and so on, just clutters up my screen. Now there is just one icon.
If you use the component parts, then Crm4Mac is definitely worth a look. Switching is effortless, as Crm4Mac automatically retrieves all of your Address Book entries, iCal schedules, and Apple Mail accounts from these programs.
Best of all, at least for me, Crm4Mac removes one of the last reasons people I know have clung to windows. As I show this program around, I get the feeling I will be seeing a few more converts in the future.

The Good: Crm4Mac does an excellent job as an all-in-one package. Its ability to replicate much of Outlook's functionality may help people switch.
The Bad: The name. Come on! Crm4Mac?? Get a real title! Also, Crm4Mac doesn't REALLY add any important new functionality. For those already satisfied with the existing iApps, there is no reason to change.
The Skinny: Crm4Mac does its job well. If you are craving a function fusion, this is the program for you. |
