PARTICIPATE
The Challenge is open to individuals/team and businesses/websites from all over the world.  Individuals and teams can submit up to 3 mods and are elligible to win some of the amazing prizes offered by our generous sponsors.  If you want to be a part of this event just follow the guide and rules listed further down this page.

SUBMISSION GUIDE

1. Check out what a guide should look like
2. Write a step-by-step guide for others to follow
3. Take at least 10 pictures of the mod in various stages of progress
4. Take at lesat 5 finished product images
5. Create a Word/iWork/etc. document and lay out your guide as you would like it to appear (we'll handle posting it to the site)

Mod Categories
Please make sure your mod fits into at least one of these categories or else we won't accept it!

• Internal Mods
• Modification of motherboards, graphics cards, overclocking, etc.
• External Mods
• Modification to appearance through lighting, painting, remolding, recasing, etc.
• Lighting Mods
• If it emits a glow and its been changed then it qualifies so long as it is apple related.
• Peripheral Mods
• Modifications to mice, base stations, etc.
• iPod Mods
• Modifications to iPods
  
• Software Mods
• Modification at system level such as custom OS install, supporting unsupported hardware, etc.
• Miscellaneous Mods
• Anything from a robot controlled by a mac to a carputer system.

How You'll Be Judged
Our panel of judges will rate your mod based on the following criteria:

• Creativity & Originality
• Level of Difficulty
• Aesthetics & Design
• Functionality
• Level of Integration

Misc. Rules

• The mod must be new to MacMod. In other-words you may not submit a mod that has already been submitted as a mod guide or competition on the site. The purpose of this competition is to give the modding community something to talk about.
