Engadget reports two new additions to the list of Apple TV hacks: a fully functional and integrated RSS reader and--brace yourself--video game emulation for NES, SNES, N64 and Sega Genesis. The RSS reader comes from a few smart guys over at twenty08 who managed to create this plugin to work right alongside your media and photos.
The emulation isn't as clear cut. However, classic Mario fans will be happy to know that virtually all the popular emulators from Richard Bannister will work on the Apple TV OS. Finally, Engadget reports there is a $1,000 bounty for a hack that enables external drive support through the USB port. It should be only natural that somebody from our forums be the first to do it!
