Apple logo converted to second monitor

This is one of the coolest mods I've seen all year. Mac Moder EdsJunk submitted this mod to our forums late Thursday night. By cracking open a MacBook he was able to put a second monitor inside of the screen. The end result is sweet. The second monitor can make the Apple logo have any kind of background, like the clown fish, or the flurry screen saver.No build pictures yet, but check out the video and some other stills after the jump.
UPDATE: You will be able to buy this service for your own MacBook in the future off of edsjunk.net. Tutorials will be posted in the future.

i think I stand extremely corrected after seeing the video post. This is actually pretty cool.

and what if this were just a photo output onto a transparent film and then that exacto'ed to fit the glowing Apple logo? are we really going to believe that this individual crammed [ even the thinnest OLCD ] into the s**ce left between a Macbook display and the top cover? I want to believe but come on folks.......

Two questions: I'd like to confirm that what is displayed on the "logo monitor" will not be visible on the display on the other side. Also, what degree of shadowing is visible?

The only reasonable thing to display on that screen is the camera feed from the other side.
